CyberGirls Fellowship 3.0 application is live!

Are you a woman between the age group of 18 and 28? Have you always wanted to learn cybersecurity? If so, keep reading to learn more about this life-changing opportunity.

CyberGirls Fellowship is a Cybersafe Foundation initiative that aims to prepare girls and women aged 18 to 28 with globally desirable cybersecurity skills, exposing them to begin a career in cybersecurity and assisting them in seizing job opportunities in Africa and around the world. The CyberGirls Fellowship 3.0 application is accessible to all African countries, to provide 1000 girls and women between the ages of 18 and 28 with the opportunity to acquire cybersecurity skills that are in high demand.

Also, this program is an intensive one-year program that provides women with hands-on experience working on real-world projects that improve the cybersecurity of companies around the world. During the one year of this fellowship, you will be mentored to become certification-ready, and you may be able to obtain paid internship/job shadowing opportunities.

The CyberGirls Fellowship 3.0 application process will end on December 4th, 2022.

This initiative seeks to improve the socioeconomic well-being of girls and women living in underserved communities in Africa, as well as to contribute to the fight against poverty and cybercrime, cybersecurity skills shortages, and gender disparities in the tech industry (particularly in the cybersecurity niche), as well as to the fight against unemployment and underemployment.

Managed by the Cybersafe Foundation, this project is financed through partnerships, sponsorships, and in-kind contributions from certain individuals and organizations. You don’t need a background in cybersecurity to apply for The CyberGirls Fellowship 3.0 program, but they are looking for people who are passionate about cybersecurity and want to take their technical skills to the next level.

You’ll improve your technical skills, be mentored by experts, connect with other like-minded people, and learn about career choices in cybersecurity. During the program, each fellow will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects, including one or two larger projects with a group of other fellows.
